Miscarriages are often assumed to be over quickly or in medicine, miscarriages are routine. However, the emotional and physical pain of a miscarriage can be complicated and difficult to process. 
 
Some pregnancy losses are due to a termination, for many different reasons, and again the impact can be long lasting and complicated.
 
Counselling can offer a safe space for male or female individuals or couples, to grieve the loss of a pregnancy, to come to terms with the confusion of unanswered questions, and the post trauma fears that can impact on relationships, well being and potential future pregnancies. 

Suffice it to say, it’s normal to feel bad after a miscarriage or stillbirth. But at what point do normal feelings of loss become a cause for concern? Here are some questions to ask yourself, as well as tips to keep in mind when deciding whether to see a mental health counsellor.
